WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

"I think the questions are great, and will work really well with my students. I also like the option of being able to add my own stories and pictures. I think that will be really great with some students I am working with that are focusing on relaying information from past experiences." - Jen Shamberger, Speech Universe

"There are not many apps out there which are ready to use out of the box and offer the flexibility to personalize the lessons to the needs of the child...This is a highly educational and easy to use app." - Smart Apps for Special Needs

"My students enjoy the story format, so this app definitely gets and holds their attention! I really like that it covers multiple areas of language and that there are a lot of stories per skill set." - Home Sweet Speech Room

"Let’s Use Language is a wonderful tool for parents, speech therapists, or teachers to use with language delayed students, and it offers a natural, literacy based learning approach. Students enjoy the short stories and this provides automatic engagement!" - The Appy Ladies

Written by ASHA-Certified SLPs, Lets Use Language uses stories to teach the language concepts of:

- Vocabulary
- Sequencing
- Categories
- Opposites

Lets Use Language comes with 10 stories (full list below), each with an accompanying lesson for our four target concepts. Thats a total of 40 lessons!

Our story based approach provides a context for learning language - giving the words meaning rather than simple memorization. Lets Use Language promotes literacy and provides an excellent starting point for further discussions beyond the scope of the story.

Each lesson comes with interactive Q&A to stimulate discussion and measure retention. After reading the story, users answer 5 questions focused on the skill at hand.

The standard lessons in Lets Use Language may be used to support Common Core Anchor Standards for Language, specifically Knowledge of Language, and Vocabulary Acquisition and Use.
